OCA Statement of Faith

At One Christian Academy, we are committed to providing a Christ-centered education that aligns with traditional Christian values and beliefs. Our statement of faith encompasses the core tenets of Christianity as follows:

  1. The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for faith, conduct, and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  1. The Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and coeternal (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
  1. Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory (John 1:1-4; Acts 1:11; Romans 5:8-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
  1. Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10).
  1. The Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit provides comfort, conviction, guidance, and empowerment for service (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23).
  1. The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, preach the Gospel, and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:1-6).
  1. Christian Living: We believe that Christians are called to live a life of holiness and love, reflecting the character of Jesus Christ in all aspects of their lives. This includes personal integrity, moral conduct, and active participation in the community (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:15-16).
  1. The Great Commission: We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel and making disciples. We encourage students to develop a heart for missions and to serve others in love (Matthew 28:19-20).
