Where Faith and Learning Are Never Separate

OCA exists for families who believe a child’s spiritual formation and academic growth belong together — not as two programs running side by side, but as one seamless life lived with God at the center.

Love Community

Service and compassion as a way of life

Our Founding Story

Built on a Community’s Deep Desire

OCA was born from a shared longing — for a school where the Bible is not a subject on the schedule but the foundation of everything. Where every child is truly known, not just enrolled. Where faith and learning breathe together, every single day.

Canvas & Clay — CCSF

The very first thing every morning: students and teachers open the Bible together, pray, share their hearts, and orient the whole day toward God. This is not a warm-up. It is the foundation.

Every Child, Known by Name

Each student has their own individualized learning plan. Teachers know each child’s strengths, struggles, and pace — and teach accordingly. No child is invisible here.

Faith in Action

From 5th grade onward, students serve the community in real ways. Middle schoolers plan capstone projects around genuine needs. Love for neighbor is practiced, not just preached.

Transformative Leaders

We graduate students who are academically excellent and spiritually grounded — young people who know who they are in Christ and are ready to shine their light in the world.

“Our family is incredibly thankful for One Christian Academy. It’s the school we had been praying for — a place where academic excellence is seamlessly paired with a deep commitment to nurturing a child’s faith. Here, our children aren’t just excelling in their studies; they’re growing in their relationship with Christ every day, always being reminded that they are a child of God.”

Why We Exist

Our Mission and Vision

At OCA, mission and vision are not statements on a wall. They are visible in what happens at 8:00 AM every morning and in how our teachers live and serve every day.

Mission

Equip every student in faith, character, and knowledge

We integrate Christian faith with personalized education — nurturing students to excel academically and grow spiritually, equipped to serve God and transform their communities.

Vision

A generation of leaders who shine their light boldly

We do not shelter our children from the world. We prepare them to enter it — guided by Christian values, grounded in God’s Word, ready to make a lasting difference.

Vision in Action

How We Actually Live It Every Day

This is not aspirational language. These are the real rhythms of life at OCA.

Every Morning · CCSF

Students open the day with God — not as a ritual, but as a way of life

The very first thing each morning, before any lesson begins, students and teachers gather for Canvas & Clay Spiritual Formation class. They read the Bible together, share what’s on their hearts, and pray — for themselves, for their school, and for their community. Students learn to bring their whole selves before God: their worries, their joys, their questions. This shapes who they are, not just what they know.

“We help children experience God, not just learn about Him.”

Every Day · Our Teachers

Teachers who read, write, share the Bible, and pray together — for their students, school, and community

At OCA, our teachers are more than educators — they are faith-driven mentors who live what they teach. Every day they study God’s Word together, lift up their students in prayer, and weave biblical truth into every subject. Their commitment to their own spiritual life is what makes the spiritual formation of students genuine and not performative.

Every Week · Chapel

The whole community gathers in worship — and parents are always welcome

Wednesday mornings bring students and staff together for chapel. Parents are invited to join. It is a moment when the whole OCA community pauses academics and worships together — a living reminder that faith is not a subject, it is a shared identity.

Every Child · Academics

Mastery-based, personalized — your child moves forward when they are truly ready

Every student at OCA has their own learning plan. Our teachers guide each child at the level that’s right for them — using research-informed methods, real human attention, and AI tools that support (not replace) the teacher-student relationship. Students advance when mastery is secure, not when the calendar says so.

“OCA focuses not just on academics but on my child’s overall development.” — Mrs. Choi, OCA Parent

Every Year · Community

Students serve — and love their neighbors in real, tangible ways

Beginning in 5th grade, students complete community service hours as a required part of school life. Middle schoolers go further — planning and executing capstone projects that identify real community needs and meet them. This is how OCA students learn that their faith has legs.

What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith

Everything at OCA flows from these convictions. Our curriculum, our community, our daily rhythms — all of it is shaped by what we believe about God, His Word, and His children.

01

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the ultimate guide for faith, conduct, and life. At OCA, it is read, studied, and lived every day.

2 Timothy 3:16–17

02

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — coequal and coeternal in every way.

Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14

03

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ — His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and personal return in glory. He is Lord of our school and our lives.

John 1:1–4 · Romans 5:8–10 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

04

Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. He died and rose again to offer eternal life to all who believe — a truth we celebrate in our community daily.

Ephesians 2:8–9 · John 3:16 · Romans 10:9–10

05

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, enabling godly living, providing comfort, conviction, guidance, and empowerment. We ask for His presence every morning in our CCSF class.

John 14:16–17 · Acts 1:8 · Galatians 5:22–23

06

The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers. All OCA families are required to be active members of a local church — because faith is meant to be lived in community, not in isolation.

Matthew 28:19–20 · Ephesians 4:1–6

07

Christian Living

Christians are called to holiness and love — reflecting Christ’s character in every part of life. This is what OCA’s teachers model and what our students are growing into, day by day.

Romans 12:1–2 · 1 Peter 1:15–16

08

The Great Commission

We are committed to making disciples. OCA students are sent into the world — their neighborhoods, schools, and communities — as young people who know the Gospel and live it with love.

Matthew 28:19–20
